Story: The Intellect
Element: Air

How would these archetypes be applied by a grown adult, if the divine masculine was stripped away, leaving only the divine feminine?

Card meaning

I don’t know how many of you are fans of the show “Bones.” In it is a woman named Brennan, a strong female criminal anthropologist who values intelligence above all. Whenever I see the Queen of Swords, I think of Brennan, and all the gifts and challenges her mind created for her.

The Queen of Swords relates to Justice in that she is discerning. The difference is that instead of valuing fairness, she values truth above all. Many people can’t relate to her opinionated and unbending manner, but how else can you be when you see the truth so clearly? Why should she lie or hide what simply is when truth and reality and mental clarity are so valued

Others may judge her as cold-hearted, but the truth is that she is often depressed and socially awkward. She is unable to live up to her own expectations because she won’t give herself room for failure. She may even be seen as unfair, because her idea of truth and the standards she knows can’t be met are often applied to others without mercy.

When the Queen of Swords appears in your reading you can take her energy to slice away lies and untruths in your life. With high discernment and a drive toward truth, be prepared for what you may find, and remember that the Queen of Swords teaches us that emotional pain are just learning experiences. Everyone will come away from her energy a little wiser.
