- Use the Lid to Control Smoke or Extinguish
Place the lid partially over the opening to limit smoke, or seal it fully to extinguish a cone by cutting oxygen. This lets you conserve partially burned cones for later use rather than letting them waste.
- Store Ritual Components Between Uses

Yes, cone incense fits well in a 2 1/4-inch cauldron. Place a thin layer of sand in the bottom first, then set the cone on it. The sand base protects the iron, insulates the surface beneath, and simplifies cleanup.
