Terms of Service

Eligibility

The services are intended for adults. Spiritual services are for entertainment purposes only and are restricted to persons 18 years of age or older. By using the services, you confirm you are at least 18. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13, and I do not knowingly serve anyone under 18 without a legal guardian’s consent.

Your Account

Some features (the app, reading credits, order history, saved addresses) require an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your password confidential. You may delete your account at any time from the app’s Account screen, or by emailing me; account-deletion handling is described in my Privacy Policy.

I may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the services, attempt to circumvent payment, attack the services, or harass me or other users.

Acceptable Use

When using the services, you agree not to:

• Use the services for any unlawful purpose, or in violation of any local, regional, or national law;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to my servers, accounts other than your own, or any non-public part of the services;
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract content from the services without my written permission;
• Use automated tools to generate readings, draw cards, request AI interpretations, or otherwise consume server or AI resources;
• Resell, redistribute, or commercialize any reading, interpretation, or content from the services;
• Upload or transmit anything malicious, defamatory, harassing, or that infringes someone else’s rights.

Spiritual Services and AI Readings Disclaimer

This is the most important part of these Terms. Please read it carefully.

Tarot, oracle, and all spiritual readings offered through the services — whether interpreted by me, generated with the assistance of artificial intelligence, or both — are provided for entertainment, reflection, and self-exploration purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional advice.

Specifically, no reading, Card of the Day, AI interpretation, or other content from the services is:

• Medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Talk to a licensed medical professional about your health.
• Mental-health advice or therapy. If you’re in crisis, please contact a qualified professional or your local crisis line.
• Legal advice. Talk to a licensed attorney about legal matters.
• Financial or investment advice. Talk to a licensed financial advisor about money.
• A guaranteed prediction of the future. The cards reflect a moment; you make the choices.

You are solely responsible for the decisions you make based on, or after reading, any content from the services. By using the services you acknowledge this and agree not to hold me liable for actions you take in reliance on a reading.

Some readings (currently the Celtic Cross “Personalised AI” interpretation and the Card of the Day) are produced with the assistance of an AI model. AI-generated content can be inaccurate, incomplete, or surprising. Treat it as a thoughtful starting point, not as fact.

Purchases and Payment

I currently accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, and PayPal (including PayPal Credit). Card payments are processed by my payment processor; I never see or store your full card number. By placing an order you authorize me to charge the payment method you provided for the total shown at checkout, including taxes and shipping where applicable.

If you purchase reading credits or other digital items through the iOS app, the purchase is handled by Apple’s in-app purchase system and is subject to Apple’s terms, in addition to mine.

Pricing, Typographical Errors, and Price Changes

Prices are subject to change without notice. The prices displayed on the site at the time you complete checkout are the prices that apply to your order. If a product is listed with an incorrect price or incorrect information because of a typographical error, an error on my supplier’s end, or any other reason, please let me know and I’ll correct it. I reserve the right to cancel and refund orders affected by an obvious pricing error before they ship.

Backorder & Inventory

I sync my inventory frequently, but high demand can occasionally cause a discrepancy between the listed stock and what’s actually on the shelf. If an item you ordered is unavailable:

• Order fulfillment. The unavailable item is cancelled and refunded immediately. The rest of your order ships as planned.
• Refund calculation. Your refund reflects the actual price paid. If a cancellation drops your order total below a discount or free-shipping threshold, I’ll honor your original discount. You won’t be penalized for an inventory error on my end.

International Orders and Regional Laws

It is your responsibility to understand and pay all fees and charges required by Customs and Duty for packages shipped internationally. FedEx and UPS have brokerage fees I have no control over, billed in addition to any duty and tax.

All items I sell and distribute are legal for sale and distribution from the United States. However, it is your responsibility to understand local, regional, and national laws about the items you purchase. You are solely responsible for packages lost or destroyed at customs, and for any legal consequence of receiving items that are restricted in your country or region.

Reading Credits and Card of the Day

A reading credit entitles you to one personalised AI interpretation of the spread it was purchased for. Once a credit has been redeemed and a reading has been generated, the credit is considered delivered and is non-refundable. Unredeemed credits may be refunded within 30 days of purchase on request.

The Card of the Day is provided free of charge, refreshes once per day, and is generated with the assistance of AI. There is no purchase, subscription, or refund associated with it.

Shipping and Returns

Shipping is covered in my Shipping Policy. Returns, refunds, and damaged-package handling are covered in my Refund & Return Policy. Both of those policies are part of these Terms by reference.

Intellectual Property

The site, the app, my logo, the Tarot Fellow brand, my written content (including card descriptions, blog posts, Celtic Cross learning content, and the wording of AI prompts), and my proprietary software are owned by me and protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view and read content on the services for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from it without my written permission.

AI-generated interpretations produced for you are yours to keep, save, screenshot, and share for personal use. You may not republish them in commercial products or in any way that suggests they were generated for someone other than you.

User Content

Anything you submit through the services — comments, reading questions, contact-form messages — is your content. By submitting it, you give me a non-exclusive licence to store it, display it back to you, and use it to operate the services (including sending the question to my AI provider so it can generate a reading for you). I will not sell your reading questions or use them for advertising.

Third-Party Services

The services rely on third parties to operate: payment processors, an AI provider (Anthropic), shipping carriers, an analytics service, website hosting and infrastructure, and the Apple App Store on iOS. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, and I’m not responsible for things they do that are outside my control.

Disclaimers

The services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. I do not warrant that the services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any reading or interpretation will be accurate, complete, useful, or applicable to your situation.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, or use — arising out of or related to the services or these Terms. My total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to the services is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid me in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) twenty-five US dollars (US$25). Some jurisdictions don’t allow some of these limits, so they may not apply to you in full.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless me, Rick Chiantaretto, and Tarot Fellow from any claim or demand, including reasonable lawyers’ fees, arising out of your use of the services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of someone else’s rights.

Termination

You may stop using the services at any time and may delete your account from the app or on request. I may suspend or terminate your access to the services for any violation of these Terms, or for any reason where required by law. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Intellectual Property, Indemnification, Governing Law) survive termination.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You and I agree that any dispute arising out of or related to the services or these Terms will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York, and we both consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction whose law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts, nothing in this section removes that right.

iOS App: Additional Terms

If you use the Tarot Fellow iOS app, the following also applies, as required by Apple:

• These Terms are between you and me — not between you and Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
• The licence Apple grants you to use the app is limited to use on Apple-branded products that you own or control, and as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.
• I, not Apple, am responsible for addressing any claims you have about the app (product liability, failure to conform to legal requirements, consumer-protection claims, etc.).
• If a third party claims the app infringes their intellectual property, I, not Apple, will handle the claim.
• You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated by the US Government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms with respect to the iOS app, and on your acceptance of these Terms Apple will have the right to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.

Changes to These Terms

I may update these Terms from time to time. When I do, I’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If a change is material — meaning it meaningfully affects your rights — I’ll do my best to notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continued use of the services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
