Get A Job Ritual Kit: Employment Magic in a Boxed Set
Job-getting workings, including mail-order job kits, are part of 20th-century Southern Black folk magic (hoodoo), and this boxed kit is a modern spell kit in that spirit. People have long turned to ritual to support themselves through job searches, interviews, and professional transitions. The logic of the working is practical: ritual creates a focused, expectant mental and emotional state that supports confident action in the material world. The Get A Job Ritual Kit gives this kind of working a structured, accessible format with all necessary components included and clear instructions provided.
The spell mixes in this kit are formulated specifically for career and employment attraction, drawing on botanical correspondences traditionally associated with success, opportunity, and clearing obstacles from one’s path. Carrying a charm bag that has been worked in a focused candle ritual is understood to keep the practitioner’s energy and intention aligned with their stated goal between active ritual sessions. This is why the bag and amulet are central components rather than incidental additions.
Timing and Strategy for Maximum Effectiveness
The new moon is the traditional starting point for attraction rituals in folk magic, and the waxing moon phase that follows is the period most associated with drawing opportunities toward oneself. Working this kit at the new moon and then carrying the charm bag through each interview and application meeting during the waxing phase creates a sustained ritual campaign rather than a single-event working. Practitioners often combine this type of kit with practical action, and the two approaches reinforce each other.

How to Use the Get A Job Ritual Kit
A guide to working this kit for employment and career success.
- Write Your Career Petition
Work this kit before a job application, job interview, or during a new moon phase. Begin by writing your employment goal on a slip of paper. Name the type of role, the environment you want, and the qualities you bring. Be specific.
- Work the Candle Ritual
Place the petition beneath the candle. Light the charcoal, add the spell mix, and light the job-drawing candle. Hold the amulet and speak your intention clearly. Spend at least ten minutes holding the image of receiving the offer.
- Carry the Working with You
After the session, place the petition and amulet in the bag. Carry the bag in your pocket or bag to interviews. Repeat the candle portion of the ritual during each waxing moon week until the position is secured or the candle is spent.
The Tarot Fellow Standard
I stock this kit because a job search is stressful and having a ritual structure for it does more than just set an intention, it creates a focused, action-oriented mindset that pairs well with practical job search work. The components are well-chosen and the instructions are clear. Some items may vary. For more ritual kits across different life goals, browse my ritual spell kits collection. Hoodoo is a living tradition, and I offer this as an entry point, not a substitute for learning from practitioners and community.
