The Magical Psalms Tradition
The practice of using psalms as practical spiritual tools dates back centuries and runs from Jewish Kabbalistic practice to Christian folk prayer. Practitioners have long recognized that the psalms are not merely devotional poetry but contain layered meanings and applications that skilled readers can direct toward specific intentions.
Donna Rose’s revised and expanded edition of this classic guide covers more than 300 rituals drawn from that deep well of tradition. She addresses money drawing, removing hexes, changing luck, spiritual protection, healing, and more, drawing on the mystical formulas that generations of practitioners have extracted from the Psalms.
Practical and Accessible
At 64 pages, this is a compact reference rather than an academic survey. Donna Rose writes for practitioners who want actionable guidance, not just historical background. Each ritual is presented in plain language, making the book equally useful for someone new to psalm work and for experienced practitioners who want a focused reference they can return to regularly.
How to Use Success and Power through the Psalms
Use this compact guide to perform targeted psalm rituals for prosperity, protection, and spiritual transformation.
- Identify Your Need
Browse the contents to find the psalm matching your intention, whether drawing prosperity, clearing obstacles, seeking protection, or strengthening your spiritual connection. Each entry names the psalm and describes the specific application clearly.
- Prepare Your Working
Gather any simple materials the ritual calls for, such as a candle, a glass of water, or an anointing oil. Donna Rose keeps requirements minimal so most workings can be done with items you already have or can find at a local spiritual shop.
- Recite with Intention
Read the psalm aloud or silently with clear focus on your intention. Some workings are repeated over several days or at specific times. Follow the instructions as given, and keep a journal of your dates and intentions to track your practice.
The Tarot Fellow Standard
I carry this title because it fills a specific gap: a practical, tradition-rooted psalm manual that doesn’t require any prior background in ceremonial magic. It’s one of the more approachable entries into folk spiritual practice I’ve found, and the price makes it an easy first step.
