Cauldrons
The cauldron is the oldest symbol of transformation β container of water, fire, and change. This collection of cauldrons for witchcraft and ritual altar work spans the full practical range: small cast iron cauldrons for burning loose incense or petition papers on a charcoal disc, medium ritual cauldrons suitable for herb burning and offering work, and larger display cauldrons that serve as the visual centerpiece of a Wiccan or ceremonial altar.
Cast iron is the traditional and most practical material β it withstands direct heat, won’t crack from thermal shock, and develops a seasoned character with use. Sizes typically range from 3-inch mini cauldrons to 8-inch working-size pieces. Many styles feature three legs and a bail handle in keeping with traditional design.
Use a small cauldron with a charcoal disc for loose incense burning, petition papers, or herb offerings. Fill with water and a floating candle for scrying. These tools earn their place on a working altar. π₯
