What herbs are in this tea blend?

The blend contains white willow bark, yarrow, buckthorn bark, angelica root, black cohosh, valerian, rue, and skullcap. Each of these plants carries a long history in folk herbalism traditions across Europe and North America.

How many cups does one package make?

One package makes 5 or more cups when you use about one heaping teaspoon per cup. You can steep it slightly stronger for a richer brew, though the yield will be a bit lower. It is a good value for a loose herbal blend.

Can I combine this tea with other herbs or blends?

You can layer it with a neutral base like plain chamomile if the flavor feels too strong. As with any herbal blend, look up each ingredient if you take other things regularly. I stock other herbal teas to pair with this one.

Is this tea safe to use every day?

This blend contains rue, black cohosh, buckthorn bark, white willow bark, angelica root, valerian, and skullcap. Do not use during pregnancy or while nursing, and do not give to children. White willow bark contains salicin, which is related to aspirin, so use with caution. Black cohosh has been linked to rare liver problems, and buckthorn bark is a stimulant laxative. If you take prescription medication, have a liver, kidney, or digestive condition, are on blood thinners, or are sensitive to aspirin, check with a qualified practitioner before use.
