What is sodalite and what chakra does it work with?

Sodalite is a blue mineral associated with the third eye chakra for intuition and inner vision, and the throat chakra for honest expression. Both associations complement the Elder Futhark, which rewards honest self-reflection and clear inner sight.

How does using a crystal rune set differ from stone or wood runes?

Crystal rune sets add the mineral's properties to the reading. With sodalite, practitioners work with an intuition-supporting stone alongside runic symbols. Wood and resin sets let the symbols carry the reading without crystal energy layered in.

Is sodalite the same as lapis lazuli?

No. They share a similar blue color but are distinct minerals. Sodalite rarely contains the gold pyrite flecks of lapis lazuli, and its white veining differs from lapis. Confirm stone type with the seller before purchasing any crystal rune set.

How do I care for sodalite rune stones?

Store in a soft pouch to prevent scratching, as sodalite rates 5.5 to 6 on the Mohs scale. Cleanse by smudging or moonlight rather than water exposure. Sodalite can absorb moisture over time, so brief rinsing is fine but long soaking is not advised.
