Cloths
Altar cloths do more than protect surfaces — they define the energetic container of ritual space. A cloth spread over your altar announces the beginning of sacred time, its color and symbols setting the tone for whatever working is to follow. My collection includes cloths in silk, velvet, and cotton, in a range of sizes from small tarot reading surfaces to full altar covers.
Color selection follows traditional magical correspondence: black for protection and mystery, purple for spiritual depth, red for passion and power, green for abundance, white for purification. Patterned cloths feature printed or embroidered sacred symbols — triple moon, pentacle, Tree of Life, celestial maps, mandala patterns — each carrying its own energetic resonance into your ritual space.
Many practitioners use a rotating selection of cloths to align their altar with the current moon phase, sabbat, or working intention. A small, dedicated tarot cloth also serves as an energetically clean surface for reading, keeping your cards protected and your readings focused. Part of the Altar Supplies collection.
